Japanese course certificate awarding ceremony for Vinh Cuu High School students

On August 7, 2025, the Faculty of Oriental Studies at LHU, in collaboration with Baraen Services Trading Production Company Limited (Baraen Co., Ltd.), hosted a certificate awarding ceremony for the Basic Japanese Language Course for students of Vinh Cuu High School. The event celebrated the students’ achievements and marked the first milestone in their journey of exploring the Japanese language and culture.

The ceremony was attended by distinguished delegates, including Mr. Kato Takayuki – Deputy Head of Training Department; and Ms. Nguyen Thi Lien – Japanese language teacher from Baraen Co., Ltd.; Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet – Chairman of the Vietnam – Japan Friendship Association of Dong Nai Province; Ms. Hachisuka Makiko – Japanese Language Expert from the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Le Minh Viet – Vice Principal of Vinh Cuu High School; along with all students participating in the Japanese course.

Representing LHU were Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Lan – Vice Rector; Dr. Nguyen Huu Nghi – Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies; as well as lecturers and experts.

The Japanese language course was part of a series of collaborative activities between LHU’s Faculty of Oriental Studies and high schools across Dong Nai province. The program aimed to provide students with early access to a second foreign language - particularly Japanese, a language that plays a vital role in education, career development, and international integration.

Each participating student received a scholarship worth VND 5 million, sponsored by Baraen Co., Ltd, covering the full tuition fee, learning materials, and cultural experience activities. Beyond language learning, students participated in Japanese cultural experiences and exchanges with experts, enriching their knowledge and deepening their passion for new horizons.

The awarding ceremony served as an occasion to acknowledge the students’ efforts, and stood as a testament to the fruitful cooperation between the University, enterprises, and educational organizations. The program’s success paves the way for expanding this model, fostering the development of a dynamic, globally integrated, and knowledgeable young workforce.
