With the aim of fostering interaction and strengthening connections among students of the Tourism and Travel Management major, FAIE recently organized a professional field trip program for students of classes 19QD111, 20QD111, and 21QD111 of the Tourism and Travel Management major, Faculty of Business Administration – International Economics, Lac Hong University, in Vung Tau – the so-called coastal city.
Departure was at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, 23 April 2022.
As a city possessing numerous beautiful beaches and well-invested infrastructure, Vung Tau is a well-known tourist destination in Southern Vietnam.
Upon arrival in Vung Tau, the first sightseeing destination was the Christ the King Statue on Small Mountain. This site was recognized as a National Historical and Cultural Relic under Decision No. 57VH/QĐ dated 18 January 1993 issued by the Ministry of Culture and Information.
The next activity was lunch, followed by a visit and rest at the Bach Dinh Historical Site. Constructed from 1898 to 1902, it was formerly used as a retreat for the Governor-General of Indochina, Emperor Bao Dai, and Presidents of Vietnam through different periods. It was also the place where the French colonial administration placed King Thanh Thai under house arrest from 12 September 1907 to 1916.
Another destination that could not be missed—one of the most famous tourist attractions in Ba Ria – Vung Tau and recognized by the Ministry of Culture and Information as a National Historical and Cultural Relic—was Thich Ca Phat Dai Pagoda. The beauty of the pagoda lies in the harmonious combination of distinctive Buddhist architectural style and the surrounding natural landscape.
Finally, the group enjoyed swimming at Back Beach, Vung Tau, which is famous for its long stretch of golden sand and clear blue water, with gentle waves that captivate visitors irresistibly. In addition, students participated in teambuilding activities with engaging games prepared by the Organizing Committee, allowing all three cohorts to interact and bond.
Afterward, the entire group boarded the bus and returned to the University, successfully concluding the experiential field trip.
The trip enabled all students to learn, explore, and discover many new destinations. Along with dynamic teambuilding activities and the enthusiasm of students from different cohorts, the field trip to Vung Tau City was successfully conducted and filled with joy.
